Rigid Polycarbonate Sheet
Polycarbonate is a
very durable material, many times tougher than glass, with excellent light transmission, fire performance and stability in temperature
extremes. Of all glazing materials polycarbonate exhibits greatest resistance to impact over a temperature range of –20°C to +100°C.
Polycarbonate sheet is approximately 200 times more resistant to impact than glass.
Available as standard Polycarbonate with a limited external life, or as a UV2 protected product that carries a 10 year warranty against discolouration. Polycarbonate can be heat formed, but normally requires pre-drying as the product absorbs moisture.
Polycarbonate sheet has a class 1 fire rating (UL94), making it the preferred option for specifiers over products such as Acrylic sheet.
